Remember when I mentioned that I would be taking a course in architectural and interior photography this quarter? Well, it’s going a bit differently than I thought it would. Many of our assignments have been “concept” related, and for me, they’ve been a little on the challenging side because I’m in no way a concept photographer. I’m extremely technical, and I don’t generally do a lot of image manipulation so this has led to my not liking quite a few of my first assignments.
However, I’ve actually really enjoyed my most recent assignment even though it is quite different from my usual style. Basically, I was supposed to shoot interior patterns and create eight new patterns using four separate images: two from my last assignment + two new images.
Just so you can see the what I did to create these new patterns, here are the original images with which I started, all of which were shot in Downtown Raleigh.
